Jesus is denied by Peter
About an hour passed and another servant of the High Priest spoke to him more strongly still. "In truth, this fellow was with Him. He, too, is a Galilean." But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are talking about." At that moment, while he was still speaking, a cock crew. And the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. And Peter remembered the Lord's words: "Before the cock crows you will disown me three times." And Peter went out and wept bitterly.
